I fight authority and . . .
Because of the era that I grew up, I learned to respect (and abhor) authority. I always try to distance myself from work superiors so as to not appear as the "kiss-up" of the crowd. I do notice the occasional overt "butt-kissers" who do garner some extra attention from the boss, but I sincerely believe that they eventually will be discovered for their shallow intent. Even though I may actually like my boss, I still try to keep my distance, which has led me to the thought: Is it because I do not want to be perceived as a brown-noser or is it my inate perception that a boss should be in a different league, much higher than I? I finally concluded that it must be the former when I witnessed my boss passing gas in the adjacent urinal. Damn animal, needs to find some social etiquette!

Based upon your recent experience, despite your best efforts, you have obviously not been keeping enough distance between yourself and your boss.
How do you feel about your subordinates? You should know, by the way, that current employement law tends to frown upon that kind of activity.
I do like my subordinates . . . with barbecue sauce.
Since when is employment law concerned with the fact that my team members take turn carrying me in every morning on their shoulders each morning?
Subordinate - a person who lives in the subords.
I think they are good at math. . . at least division (in their neighborhoods)
You use the English language rather clumsily, perhaps you're not very subordinated.
Watch your language! You know I was subordainated in the church!
You seem lost, maybe you double check your subordinates.
I'm getting hungry, and think I'll just go have a subordinate sandwich at subways.
Why don't you buy a new car while you're at it and trade in your Subordinate?
Quit talking back! This is an obvious act of in-Subordinate-ion
I went to a meeting last week. I couldn't stand it because I was so bored in it.
I'm getting Su Bord with this Inate topic!
I was out near the ocean last week and the water looked so good I wanted to take my su' bord in it.
I heard Annette Funicello was going to join the Board of Trustees for MGM, but she was concerned that someone may Sue Board and Annette.
Dan was telling his subordinate to drill a hole. The worker was lacking confidence. As Dan was trying to eat lunch, his underling said "I think this is where I should drill, but I'm not sure". In response he said, "so bore", the Dan ate.
Dan was in the food stamp line trying to provide an explanation for his poverty stricken situation and offered that he was so poor, damn it
