Ironic

No, this is not a tribute to Alanis Morrisette, but an observation. Why is it that there are so many bald barbers? Worse yet, why are there so many overweight doctors? You'd think that they, if anyone would understand proper nutrition. I thought it peculiar when I took my son in to the optometrist recently and noticed that all the doctors in the practice wearing glasses. Didn't they eat carrots when they were young? Imagine my surprise to find the local LASIK practitioner is blind as a bat!

You're right about the fat doctors. Who are they to tell me how to eat? Or exercise.

However, there is nothing ironic about eye doctors wearing glasses. After all, their poor vision is probably hereditary - or maybe it was too much sex; I hear that makes you go blind.

Regardless, they're just making good use of their own product - probably not their own service, unless one could self-administer an eye exam. "One, two - A, B - I don't know; they all look the same!". I think it may be fun to watch an eye doctor test his own vision. Do you suppose they've memorized the eye chart by now? I would think so.

The fun part would be to watch the optometrists dilate their own pupils that cry out that the light is too bright.

I'm told that many hair stylists do indeed cut their own hair which does sound logical, but practically speaking, I think it would be very difficult to do so. Imagine, how do they find the ability to cut the hair in the back of their heads? I assume they need one hand to hold the strands of hair with a comb perhaps. The other hand would actually hold the scissors. And a third hand would hold the mirror so they could see the reflection in another mirror, perhaps on the wall? Wait a minute, that amounts to three hands, or maybe they include a leg in the equation. Either way, I just can't picture this. Of course, because of my obvious talents, I do not need that third hand. . .

You don't need all those chins you have either.
