What's Up? Or Across.

Summertime is here, time for all to show off our seasonally thin physiques. And while at the office this summer, grab your polo shirts and go!

But why, when we want to look our thinnest, do the shirt designers insist our polo shirts must have horizontal stripes? Don't they make one look fat? Even me in my... well, even me.

Long sleeve shirts never have horizontal stripes - always vertical. What's the deal with the polo shirts then? Finding vertical stripes on a polo shirt only happens when the summer help stacks the shirts sideways on the shelf!

Next up, boxer shorts.

Perhaps, you could start wearing your shirts sideways. Of course, you're assuming that someone even notices you. I seem to think that there is a conspiracy with clothing designers in that they are creating shirts that seem to be larger than the traditional sizes. Although the labels are the same, I noticed that "L" for Large seems to be too big for me, even though that's what I have always worn that size. Now, I can comfortably fit into a size medium. An obvious, and obnoxious, explanation could be that I am now thinner, but don't buy that since I can still fit into my old clothes that are still labeled as large.

Somehow, while we were sleeping the crafty designers are thinking that they are stroking our egos by changing the labels!

Why do pants never have horizontal stripes? Or for that matter, they really never have patterns either. I think I'm going to start buying larger shirts and wear them as pants.

You should be wearing your pants as shirts since you won't have to deal with any patterns. It seems more comfortable that way, and you'll get used to the stares as your head sticks out of your fly. It's close enough in proximity to where everyone thinks your head is anyway. . .

I'm sorry but I consider this conversation clothesed.

Didn't you listen to anything I just said?!? Something must be wrong with your herring-bone!

I listened, you just didn't plaid your case very well. No need to get madras.

Solid response. Now, I have a com-Pleat answer.

Just be sure you don't paint an entire group of people with a broad cloth.

Button up your lip. That would suit me just fine!

Then you would be without my collarul remarks! Let's just end this now and call it a tie.

But, I'm not done with the off the cuff remarks yet. You know I always want to be the trail blazer.
